This reminded me somewhat of the revelation I once had that, had I lived in the 60s and 70s, I probably wouldn’t not have been at Woodstock, or a hippy, or revolutionary at all. It was a disappointing realization b/c I think we tend to think that if we were alive during ‘history’ we’d be a part of it…
Is the friendship of the women a main part of the story? The title seems to suggest it would be but your summary focused on Rebecca.
Rebecca was the narrator so it followed her more even though it was about their friendship. The truth is I can’t really reveal the more important aspects of their relationship without giving away the whole book. Some of these choices made it an extremely difficult book to review because I had A LOT of thoughts about some of those major plot points that occur at the very end of the book. I’d be happy to share those with you one-on-one. 😉
